Future Medical Costs
Mr. Barrett expanded the research on the economic aspects of future medical care damages relating to personal maintenance expenditure deductions from residential facility care costs. This research was first presented at the annual conference of the Southern Economic Assocation in 2001 which lead to the publication on this topic in the Journal of Legal Economics, 11(2). Both of Dr. Brookshire's books on economic damages, in 1987 and 1990, devoted a chapter to the calculation and estimation of future medical and related care costs.
